Alfred Paul Gaudino, 91, of Bath New York. January 31, 1924 - July 12, 2015. Born in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania to the late Antonio Gaudino and the late Jennie (Casteluccio) Gaudino. Al joined the US Army in March 1943, served in World War II including the Eastern-African-Middle Eastern Campaign and the Battle of the Bulge. Al was awarded the WWII Victory Medal and continued his military service to the country as a member of the Army Reserves from December 1945 - until his birthday in 1984.
Al married Mary Ruth Hetrick on July 10th, 1947.
Al is survived by his 12 children: Rose Ormsby (Bill), Larry Gaudino (Cindy), Colonel Richard Gaudino (Nancy), Robert Gaudino (Laurie), Jennie Gaudino Turner, Ronald Gaudino (Debbie), Joseph Gaudino (Miriam), Penny Gaudino, Teresa Gaudino Koehler, John Gaudino (Janet), Jerome Gaudino (Jill), and Delores Gaudino Skelly (Mike), 34 grand children, 38 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.
Al and Mary were married for 68 years.
Al was a devout Catholic, active member of St. Mary's Church in Bath, the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion Post 173 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW.
He retired from the Bath Veterans Administration and was employed several years at McDonough's
and Bonady's grocery store.
The viewings will be held at Fagan's Funeral Home at 2:00 - 4:00 pm, and 7:00 - 8:30 pm on Wednesday, July 15th, 2015. The funeral Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Mary's Church in Bath at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 16th, 2015, burial immediately following at St. Mary's Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Gifts in lieu of flowers may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Bath American Legion.
