At the age of 91 Anita Yorski went to join her husband Anthony and her brothers and sisters who have gathered their wings before her.
Anita was born in Caribou, Maine in the middle of a family of 17 brothers and sisters.
She moved to Bath, NY in the 1950's where she met the love of her life Anthony (Tony) Yorski and they shared 51 years together when Tony predeceased her in 2009.
In those 51 years she raised two daughters, Jane (Robert) Smith and Sarah (John) Sellers, who she is survived by.
She grew many gardens, canned, froze, took care of what needed to be taken care of, and if someone came through the door and needed something, she took care of that too.
She always had an open ear and an open heart.
To Anita, anyone she hadn't met was just a friend she hadn't met yet. She truly loved people and everything about life itself.
But most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.
Her family grew to add two daughters, three grandchildren and anyone else who needed an extra Gramma or someone to just listen.
She spent her final five years at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility where she became the unofficial meter and greeter of her unit.
Anita helped where ever she could, whether it was folding napkins, playing bingo or sitting in the hall greeting passersby.
She loved her coffee and cookies, but her favorite thing to do was going outside and enjoying the sunshine and flower garden in the courtyard.
She is now with her love, where they will be able to spend an eternity together.
Anyone she met she gave strength to without even knowing it.
She will be sadly missed but joyfully remembered.
