Betty J. Pym

Betty J. Pym, age 90, of Bath, NY died Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Taylor Health Center, Bath, NY.
She was born in Williamsport, PA September 10, 1923 the daughter of Robert S. and Beulah G. Leach Roote.
Mrs. Pym was retired from Mercury Aircraft in Hammondsport, NY after 30 years of service.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bath.
She was a very loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia J. Pym (Thomas Beers) of Hammondsport, NY, Deborah (Paul) Schosek of Wheeler, NY and John Michael Pym of Bath, NY; grandchildren Ben (Melissa) Schosek of Wilmington, NC and Stephanie (Kurt) Mehlenbacher of Wayland, NY, 4 great grandchildren, brother Robert Roote of Bath and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband John Pym and sister Virginia Leon .
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's name may be made to the Finger Lakes Humane Society, 7315 State Route 54, Bath, NY 14810 or a charity of one's choice
