Carol (Madigan) Allard of Bath, NY passed away on August 11, 2026 following a lengthy battle with metastatic breast cancer. Carol was born in 1957 in Sayre, PA, the daughter of Alfred and Marie (McNamara) Madigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ed Madigan, sister Jean Robertson, niece Lisa Welch and nephew Kevin Welch.
Carol is survived by her husband of 12 years, Bill Allard, her beloved children and grandchildren – son Jeffrey (Carolyn) Parker and their sons Evan and Michael; daughter Katherine Parker; son Timothy (Olivia) Parker and their children Julia, Beckett, Conall, Brooks and Ford; daughter Elizabeth (Shane) Joyce and their daughter Nelle, as well as Bill’s 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Carol is also survived by her dear sisters Ann Gwinn, Kathleen (Richard) Welch, brother-in-law Dick Robertson and special cousins Kathy DeVincentis and Janet (Bob) Lee.
In 1988 Carol and her family moved to Campbell, NY where they started their business, Parker Farm, a 72-acre farm growing and selling greenhouse plants, flowers, veggies and strawberries, all homegrown from seed. She often referred to that time in her life as the "Glory Days". Many of her nieces and nephews spent countless weekends at The Farm. Carrie, Sarah, Patrick, Kathi, Don and Julie all took part in chores alongside her family, picking berries and working in the greenhouse.
Carol spent 13 years as a single parent, which would not have been possible without the help of her dear parents and close friends Janet Lyons, Renee Gauss and Cindy Thompson. In 2011, Carol met Bill Allard, who she found to be a kind, generous and gentle man. They quickly fell in love and were married in 2014. Bill has been by her side throughout her illness, and our family is thankful for all he has done for her.
Carol worked at Guthrie Corning Centerway for 20 years, and most recently at The Oral Surgeons of the Southern Tier for 7 years, but her most important and fulfilling role in life was being a mom and grandma. She treasured the time she was able to spend with her family and adored them immensely.
Carol enjoyed flower gardening, baking, antiquing, vacationing at the beach, hosting large family dinners, traveling to New England, playing cards and board games and having campfires in the backyard.
Calling hours will be held at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath, NY from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Monday, August 17, 2026 with funeral immediately following. Burial will follow at the Tyrone Union Cemetery in Tyrone, NY followed by a light luncheon at the Tyrone United Methodist Church, Church Hill Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carol's memory to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. www.bcrf.org
