Carol Elizabeth Henshaw (Brocius) age 70 passed away peacefully on March 31st at 12:45 pm after a long battle with medical and health issues.

Carol is predeceased by her parents Alice and Jack Brocius; Sister Marjorie (Suzanne) Ferney; Son Michael James Henshaw and step daughter Heidi Francis.

Survived by husband James Monroe Henshaw, a love so strong they married twice. Son Jonathan Monroe Henshaw, grandson Jackson Henshaw; daughter Patricia (Michael) Henshaw-Frankenberger; Grandchildren : Isabella, Nicholas and Anthony Frankenberger; Dawn Wright and family; longest friend and sister-in-law Roxanne Henshaw and extended family.

She was first most a mother & lover of life. A true warrior & caregiver, she followed on to be a veterinarian assistant. Worked in cosmetology and as a health care worker at the Steuben County infirmary. She loved family and her cats. An avid book reader and music lover. Always spoke to everyone with a loving nature and a smile. Her children and grandchildren could always count on an adoring gesture of love with a late night horror movie and snacks.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family would like to put in a flower garden in her memory at her longtime home.
