Charles L. Leach

Charles (Chuck) Lewis Leach of Bath, NY passed away at Strong Memorial Hospital on November 1, 2024. Born in Wellsboro, PA on December 23, 1955, the son of Elmer and Carol (Higley) Leach. He graduated from Haverling High School in 1974. He had been employed as a construction worker, heavy equipment operator, and truck driver and he retired from AL Blades after 20 years. Chuck loved many things; telling jokes, making people laugh and smile, helping those in need, music, football, and Nascar to name a few. He attended Victory Highway Church, enjoyed spending time with his family, and was a friend to many.
He was predeceased by his parents, father-in-law George L. Buck, brother-in-law, Bernard Buck, and former wife Judy Leach. He is survived by his wife Margaret (Buck) Leach, son Kirk (Dystany) Leach, stepchildren Marty (Jessica) Woodard, Chris Woodard, Valerie Roark, Regina (Craig) Hargraves, Rachel Parsels. Sisters; Cathy (Dave) Emerson, Barbara (Art) Allison, Julie Amoroso; brother David Leach. He is also survived by his grandchildren, namesake Karson Charles Leach, Skyler, Chris, Hannah, Tayler, Oonagh, Ellie, Logan, Maddox, Aphid, Case, Javen, great grandchildren; Bryanna, Christopher; stepmother Lina Cardoso BL (Leach), mother-in-law Lucille Buck; aunts Carole Pennington, Joan Buck, uncles; James Cron, as well as several sister and brother in laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held November 30, 2024, 1-4pm, Hammondsport Legion. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
