Daniel R. Snyder

Daniel R Snyder, age 60, of Bath NY passed away January 4th 2019 after a long tough fight with cancer.
He was born March 15 1958 in Rochester NY to Janet (Stuart) and Arthur Manciocchi.
On September 3rd, 1977 he married Dorothea Barrett, whom survives. They had 3 children, Danielle (Edward) Bonicave, Dawn (David) Conyers and Daniel (Autumn) Snyder II. The love he had for his grandchildren, Ethan, Bentlee and Parker Bonicave, Damien and Aaliyah Hall, Avaiah and Dalton Snyder was monumental. They were not only the apples of his eye, but a reason for him to be silly and so full of love.
He drove truck his whole life, working for over 20 years at RC Billings and ultimately retiring from Dickson Trucking due to his illness. While he took pride in his work and enjoyed being on the road, nothing compared to how happy he was when his grandbabies came to sit in his truck at the end of the day or how proud he was to watch them compete in sports.
Aside from his tall stature and deep voice, his larger than life personality made him stand out in a crowd. He was full of pride in his children and grandchildren and was there to support his family at every event.
He was well known for his passion and talent behind the wheel of a derby car, winning the New York State Championship in 1989. His love for motorcycles was also a large part of his life and he was a proud member and past President of the Snakes Motorcycle Club.
In addition to his wife and children he is also survived by a son Steven Shoemaker, his siblings, Arthur Snyder, Eugene (Patti) Snyder, Theresa Snyder, Lisa (Edward) Lyke, Steven Manciocchi, Charles Snyder, Sister in Law Donna Snyder and many nieces and nephews whom he loved like his own. Mother in Law Dorothy Barrett.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother Douglas Snyder, nephew Logan Manciocchi and Father in Law Charles Barrett.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for his grandkids. Checks can be made payable to Big Ds Grandbabies and mailed c/o Danielle Bonicave 6210 Scudder Rd Savona NY 14879.
Calling hours will be on Sunday January 20th 2019 from 12:00-3:00 with service immediately following at Fagans Funeral Home on West Morris St. Bath, NY. A celebration of his life will be at St. Marys OMalley Hall following the service.
