Darrel L. "Doc" Simpson, age 88, of Bath, NY died Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Steuben Center For Rehabilitation and Health Care of Bath, NY.
He was born October 23, 1927 in Hornell, NY, the son of Ivan D. and Dorthea (Lewis) Simpson. He was a World War II US Navy Veteran.
Mr. Simpson retired from Mercury Aircraft after 39 years of service.
He was a member of the Charles E. Wescott American Legion Post 173.
He is survived by his daughters, Kandise (Larry) Kahn of Craigville, IN and Tammie (Bob) Gelder of Bath, NY; sons, Randal (Sandi) Simpson of Bath and Samuel (Virginia) Simpson of Fort Wayne, IN, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; brothers, Dale Simpson of Bradford, NY, Dean Simpson of Savona, NY, Neil Simpson of Juneau Alaska and Gene Simpson of Bradford, NY, sister Sherry Simpson of Tallahassee, FL. and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family and condolences may be made at www.fagansfuneralhome.com .
Memorial donations in Mr. Simpson's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
