Darrell W. Benjamin

Darrell W. Benjamin, Sr., age 80, died April 12, 2014 at home.
He was born February 9, 1934 in Corning, NY the son of Chancy and Viola Baker Benjamin. Mr. Benjamin was an US Army Veteran. He retired from Ingersoll Rand in Painted Post, NY after 42 years of service.
Mr. Benjamin was a member of the Risingville United Methodist Church, Campbell American Legion, Union 313 at Dresser Rand, the Chemung County Old Timers Association and the Canandaigua Steam Pageant Assoc.
He loved going to car shows and tractor pulls. He was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed dancing to country music.
He is survived by his wife Elaine (Silsby) Benjamin of Cameron Mills, NY; two sons, Darrell "Benny" (Gena) Benjamin Jr. of Cameron Mills, NY and Joey (Sandy) Benjamin of Hammondsport, NY; two daughters, Linda Fox of Arkport, NY and Brenda McFarland of Avoca, NY; two stepsons, Danny (Kelly) Wilson of Cameron Mills, NY and Kem (Cathy) Wilson of Lindley, NY, 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, brother, Carl Benjamin of Erwin, NY, sister, Darlene Hill of Painted Post, NY and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday April 17, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath and Friday April 18th from 12:00-2:00 pm at the Risingville United Methodist Church, 4530 County Route 11, Cameron Mills where services will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Veronica Seeley officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Mr. Benjamin's name may be made to the Risingville United Methodist Church or the Chemung County Old Timers Assoc. c/o the Risingville United Methodist Church, 4530 County Route 11, Cameron Mills, NY 14820.
