Diane Hakes, passed peacefully in her home following an extended illness on December 9, 2018. She is survived by her children, Joshua Reed of Campbell, Robert (Angela) Burlingame of Campbell and Jennifer (Clayton) Moorman of Warfordsburg, PA. She was a loving, energetic grandmother to her seven grandchildren; Kahlei, Emma, Kami, Owen, Joey, Kara and Kendra. Diane is also survived by her sisters; Debora (Fred) Evans, Teresa (John) Lyons and Karen Warner; brothers, Brian (Shirley) Reed and Douglas (Michaela) Reed along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband George Hakes, her parents Kenneth and Beverly Reed and her brother Craig W. Reed.
Diane was employed by John C. Grimburg Co. where she was an estimator for civil construction. Her hobbies were traveling, painting and enjoying time spent with her family and friends.
Calling hours are Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 14th at 12:00 pm at St. Joseph's Church, Main Street, Campbell, NY with Father Pat Connor as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Addison, NY.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
