Donald R. Benham, age 78, of Hammondsport, NY died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at home.
He was born January 1, 1935 in Bath, NY the son of Robert M. and Arvilla King Benham. He was an Army Veteran.
Mr. Benham retired from Clark's Specialty in Hammondsport, NY after 36 years of service, and he owned and operated Benham's Rental Equipment.
He was a graduate of Hammondsport High School in 1953.
He enjoyed traveling and his cats.
He is survived by his wife Harriett (Simons) Benham of Hammondsport, his son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren; 2 brothers-in-law, Grant (Gail) Simons of Lake City, FL and Frank Simons of Savona, NY; 2 sisters-in-law, Doris Parmelee of Unionville, VA and Louisa Dewey of Lake City, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Monday, January 21, 2013 from 11:00am-12:00pm at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath.
A memorial service will follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hammondsport Fire Dept. and Hammondsport Ambulance Corps, Hammondsport, NY 14840.
