Donald Raymond Harvey, age 67, of Hammondsport, NY, died Monday October 13, 2014 at the Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 25, 1947 in Bath, NY the son of James and Agnes (Craig) Harvey.
He attended Haverling Central School, then joined the Marines during Vietnam and was honorably discharged.
Donald retired from Philips Lighting in Bath as Production Supervisor.
Before becoming a supervisor he was an active union member rising to the position of President of the Local Chapter of the Flint Glass Workers Union.
He continued his education throughout life obtaining his GED while in the military.
He worked to obtain certifications in HVAC, electrical, EMT, plumbing and blue print reading.
He was a self taught tool maker.
Donald was an active member of the Bath/Hammondsport ambulance corps, until an injury prevented his continued service.
He was a very active member in the antique engine communities of Bath, Hammondsport, and Penn Yan and a member of the N.East Engine Association.
He served on the Steuben County Fair Board and was active with the fair for over 25 years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the American Legion.
Donald was also a supportive member of the Glenn H. Curtis Museum and he was an avid motorcyclist.
Donald attended Mt. Washington Church and was also a member of St. Mary's Church in Bath.
He was a very generous and loving man who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Karol (Luke) Harvey, brother, Jim Harvey; children, Susann Lawton, Jason Harvey, Derek Krym and Ann Stoneman; grandchildren, Skylar Stonemen, Sydney Austin, Samantha Harvey, Jacob Harvey, Ryder Krym and Sawyer Krym and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday October 17th from 1:00-3:00 & 6:00-8:00 at Fagan's

Memorial services will be held on Saturday October 18, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Mt. Washington Church with Pastor David Ferguson officiating.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery with military honors.
