Donald P. Hults

Donald P. Hults, of Bath NY, passed away unexpectedly at home Thursday, May 27th 2021. He was 66 years young. Donnie was born December 5th, 1954 in Pultney, NY, to Russell and Nora Hults. Donnie started working in his teens as a trucker. After 48 years and millions of miles logged, he retired in early 2020. Donnie was married in April 1984 to Donna MacLennan. Together they had 2 children, Nora and Rachel, and were married until Donna's passing in 2006. An avid biker, builder, and hunter, Donnie was often found weekends riding his Harley Davidson Low rider, working on a project, or enjoying his beloved land in Mitchellsville.
His hobbies led to a very big life in the Finger Lakes. A lifelong member of the NRA, and Savona Rod and Gun Club, and a Harley rider through and through; Donnie looked tough but loved hard. He was committed to his family, friends, and community, and will be remembered as a good and honest man. Donnie was predeceased by wife Donna, Father Russell, "Aunt" Helen Howland, and brother Lawrence. He is survived by daughters Nora (Frank) and Rachel (Matthew), Mother Nora, siblings Francis, Daniel, Debra, Cheryl, Suzie, Phillip, many "adopted" kids, grandkids and great grandkids, too many friends to list, and the love of his life, Fianc Deb Hoad.
In lieu of traditional services, the family will hold a Gathering of Remembrance at the Savona Rod and Gun Club. All who loved him are invited to join in remembering the man he was, among the legacy he left, Saturday June 5th at 1pm.
