Donna Andrews

Donna H. Andrews, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, in Elmira, NY, at the age of 79. Born on June 27, 1946, in Hornell, NY, Donna lived a life marked by love, dedication, and a courageous spirit that touched all who knew her.

Donna, as she was affectionately known, spent her working years as a diligent cleaner for several establishments, including Steuben County and the Bath Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), where she also served in Dietetics. Her strong work ethic and caring nature were evident in everything she did, leaving a lasting impact on her colleagues and those she served.

A devout member of the Assembly of God Church in Bath, Donna's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found great joy in her church community and lived her beliefs through acts of kindness and compassion. Her love for animals, especially her cherished cats, further exemplified her gentle and loving nature.

Donna's life was a testament to the enduring power of family. She is survived by her sons, Scott and wife Danielle Andrews, and Barry and wife Angie Andrews; her cherished seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. Donna also leaves behind her brothers, Charles, Kenny, Donny, and Tommy Parsels, as well as her sisters, Molly Chaney and Mary McCarthy, all of whom will miss her deeply. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Lawrence L. Andrews, her parents, Robert and Helen Petteys and her brother, David Parcels, all whom she held dear in her heart.

As we bid farewell to Donna H. Andrews, she will be remembered with fondness and gratitude for the countless ways she enriched the lives of those around her. May she rest in peace, knowing she was dearly loved and will be forever missed.

A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
