Donna Atanesian

March 4, 1932 — April 23, 2018

Donna J. Atanesian, 86, a lifetime resident of Bath NY, passed away April 23, 2018, with her children at her side. Donna was born in Canisteo NY on March 4, 1932. She was the daughter of
Edward Converse Reynolds and Jennie Belle (McMaster). She is survived by her children Ron Atanesian (Nina) of Sciota, PA, Tom Atanesian (Monika and their son Nikolas) of Durham, NC, and Jan Atanesian of Liverpool NY.
After graduating salutatorian of her class from Canisteo
High School, Donna moved to Bath where she briefly worked for the Bath Credit Bureau.
Shortly thereafter she met Bob, the love of her life and they married in 1951. Donna also worked part time for the Village Tax Office.
She was a dedicated and successful coach for both the Cinderella and Princess softball leagues for many years. Her love of sports was contagious and she never missed a chance to watch her children participate in Cross Country, Track, Softball and Tennis.
She also enjoyed doing the weekly Jumble.
The jumble became a family competition which she crushed.
Donna spent over 20 years in Winter Haven Florida with Bob as snowbirds.
While there, they developed many lasting friendships. Her past 6 years were spent at Elderwood Healthcare Center
where she enjoyed music, crafts, painting, and the many relationships she made with staff and residents.
Calling hours will be held at Fagan Funeral Home in Bath on Friday April 27, 2018 from 2 to 4 with a funeral service immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Bath Ambulance Corp.
