Donna Lou Walther

Donna Lou Walther, age 94, of Hornell, NY and formerly of Bath, NY, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 at Elderwood at Hornell. She was born February 21, 1929 in Cohocton, NY, the daughter of Stanley E. and Beulah (Schaefer) Brown. Growing up, she loved working on the family farm. D.L. worked at Westinghouse and retired from Philips Lighting in Bath. She was a 50 year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Charles E. Wescott American Legion Post 173 in Bath. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Bath. D.L. was an avid bowler and participated in many tournaments, and bowled a 600. She enjoyed being outdoors and accomplished many carpenter projects. D.L. was also an avid Buffalo Bills and New York Yankee fan.
D.L. was predeceased by her husband of 62 years Richard Walther on December 15, 2015, her brother Stanley Brown Jr. and her sister-in-law Vyrna Brown. She is survived by; two brothers, Keith Brown of Cohocton and Bruce (Cheryl) Brown of Wayland, her cousins Charlotte Dwyer Giglio Thomas Dwyer, Joseph Dwyer and Mary Lynn Dwyer Gaddis and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation at Fagan's Funeral Home on Saturday February 10, 2024 from 11:00 am-Noon with a funeral service at noon. Burial will be in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her name may be made to the Vincent House, 310 2nd Ave, Wayland, NY 14572 and the Ladies Auxiliary at the Bath American Legion, 14 W. William St, Bath, NY 14810.
