Dorothea M. Lysyczyn Klick

Dorothea M. Lysyczyn Klick age 96, of Avoca, NY died April 24, 2017 at home. Dorothea
was born March 26, 1921 to Effie Towner and Ernest Pierce.
She was predeceased by her parents, husbands Frank Lysyczyn in 1967 and Jack Klick in 2005, two brothers, five sisters and one grandson.
Dorothea is survived by four sons; Edward (wife Patricia) Lysyczyn, Frank Lysyczyn (Lori), John (wife Ruth) Lysyczyn and Don (wife Gina) Lysyczyn, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She graduated from Avoca Central School in 1937 and Bath Memorial Hospital Nursing in 1942.
She worked as a registered nurse over 25 years at Bath Memorial Hospital, Ira Davenport Hospital and Noyes Memorial Hospital.
She lived in Avoca most of her life.
She was a member of the Avoca United Methodist Church, United Methodist Womens Bible Study, Red Hat Society, Retired Nurses Group, and a local Quilting Group where she enjoyed making quilts for her family.
Calling hours will be held on Friday April 28th
from 7:00-9:00 PM at Fagan's Funeral
Home, 31 West Morris St., Bath, NY and Saturday April 29th from 11:00 am-12:00 pm
at the Avoca United Methodist Church where funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm with
Pastor Barre Butts officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Avoca.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Avoca United Methodist Church, 8593 Jacobs Ladder Road, Avoca, NY 14809.
