Dorothy H. Tifft, age 99, of Painted Post, NY died Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Absolute Care at Three Rivers in Painted Post, NY.
She was born October 6, 1913 in Corning, NY to Edward and Jessie White Teets.
She was predeceased by husbands James Carpenter and Andrew Tifft.
She is survived by her daughters, Jane Carpenter Hand of Monticello, FL, Lois Carpenter Knapp of Bath, NY, Jean Tifft Loucks of Bath, NY and Dawn Tifft Schmidt of East Bernstadt, KY, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and sister Elsie Van Alstine of Monteray, NY.
She was also predeceased by her children, Ruth Carpenter McIlwaine Allyn and James D. Carpenter and her siblings, Katherine Mapes, Mary Freeman, Mabel Shelp, Gladys Reynolds, Betty Teets, Hugh Teets and Francis Teets. Her main interest throughout life encompassed the love she shared for her family and home.
Friends may call on Thursday July 11th from 6:00-8:00 PM and Friday July 12th from 10:00-11:00 am at Fagan's Funeral
Home, 31 West Morris St., Bath, NY.
Funeral services will follow on Friday at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with Craig Snyder officiating.
Burial will be in Chapel Knoll Cemetery, Coopers Plains, NY.
