Eva M. Russo, 81 of Bath, NY Died Thursday December 11, 2025 at Fred and Harriet Taylor Health Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 25, 1944 in Bath, NY, to the late Clarence and Josephine Williams. Eva is survived by sons, Anthony (Kim) Russo of Bath, NY, James Jr. (Katharina) of Mountain Lakes, NJ and daughter Tonia (Tim) Smith of Painted Post, NY.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Ashlee Motsay, Gina Motsay, Angela, Alexis and Maximilian Russo. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Jim and her brother Philip. She is survived by sisters Deanna Cole, Kathy McNutt and brothers Clarence Williams, Robert Williams and many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Eva was a graduate of Kent State University. Eva was retired after many years of teaching English, and was the English Department head at Haverling High School in Bath, NY. She enjoyed her many years of teaching 9thgrade English, which included all three of her children. In 1980 Eva's husband Jim created Southern Tier Provisions Inc., an Italian food distribution and transportation business. Additionally, he created J.E.T. Warehouse Rentals, Inc., a commercial real estate provider throughout the state of New York. Eva was a valued close partner in all of Jim's businesses.
Eva's passions included finding great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and family. Eva's love of animals is well known, as she served many animals by finding a loving home. She is survived by her favorite dog Riley.
Throughout her nearly 2 years at Taylor Healthcare Facility she made many friends with staff and residents.
Calling Hours will be held at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath, NY on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church in Bath on Thursday December 18th at 10:00 am. A graveside service and burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Bath.
Donations in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Finger Lakes S.P.C.A. and St. John Vianney Parish in Bath, NY.
