Frederick Eugene Baumgarten Jr.

Frederick E. Baumgarten, Jr., age 64, of Cuba, NY died Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the Bath VA Medical Center.
He was born January 22, 1953 in Herkimer, NY the son of Frederick and the late Lauretta (Aldrich) Baumgarten.
He retired as a highly decorated Chief from the US Navy and he also was a former employee of the Bath VAMC.
He was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W.
Fred was an avid golfer, loved to sing karaoke and especially loved being outdoors boating and fishing.
He is survived by his daughter Tina (Michael) Sick of Arkport, NY; two sons, Jesse Baumgarten and Brett (Lisa) Baumgarten both of Winter Haven, FL, father Frederick E. Sr.(Lorraine) Baumgarten of Cape Canaveral, FL, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; siblings, Connie (Jay) Zeager, Kay (Greg) Fisk, Nancy Baldwin and Billie Jo (Ozzy) Brownell; half siblings, Thomas Baumgarten, Robert Baumgarten, Charlene Sherwood and Rosemary Pickens.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service with military honors, on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Bath National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his name may be made out to Voluntary Services and mailed to the Bath VAMC, 76 Veterans Ave. Bath, NY 14810.
