Gayle Diane Vanderveer

On Sunday, September 18 th , 2022, Gayle VanderVeer of Bath, NY, passed away at the age of 66. Gayle was born on April 28 th , 1956, in Wellsville, NY to Allie Mae Grimaldi and Milford York. She graduated from Savona Central School District and received an associate degree from Corning Community College. On March 5 th , 1977, she married Michael VanderVeer and made a home in Bath, NY for 45 years. She worked at Bradford Central School for many years, where she was known as Mrs. V. Gayle enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. She is survived by her loving husband, Mike; along with her mother and stepfather, Allie and John Grimaldi; her siblings Anna Divens, Joe (Karen) York, John Grimaldi, and Beth (Bill) Tompkins; as well as her in-laws Jeff (Ann) VanderVeer, and Mary Beth VanderVeer; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gayle was predeceased by her father, Milford York, and her brother, Jesse York. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
