James W. Arnold, a man of exceptional kindness, passed away on August 11, 2025, at his home in Bath, NY. Born on May 11, 1957, in Batavia, NY, James lived a life characterized by warmth, generosity, and an ever-present friendly disposition that touched the lives of many.

James grew up in Batavia, the cherished son of Robert James and Dorothy Mae (Mengs) Arnold. He is survived by his brother, Bobby, his nephew Cory and wife Nicole, as well as his nieces children, Cameron, Cobi, and Preston. His life was also graced by the presence of his best friend Craig, whose companionship provided countless memories filled with laughter and mutual support.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, his sister Sandy, and his niece Jodi.

James was a man who effortlessly made friends wherever he went. His interesting conversations, often sprinkled with humor and wit, made him a delight to be around. He had the rare ability to make each person he met feel like the most important person in the room, and his kindness knew no bounds. James was the kind of friend who would show up in times of need without being asked, and his presence was a source of comfort and joy to many.

Beyond his love for people, James had a profound affection for his beloved cats, Sammy and Sophie. They were not just pets to him but cherished members of his family.
