James Bochicchio

December 18, 1947 — September 13, 2021

On Monday, September 13, 2021, James Bochicchio, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 73. James was born on December 18, 1947 in Bermuda to Charles and Mildred (Bilacic) Bochicchio.
He is a U.S. Army
veteran.
He also served in the Virginia Air National Guard.
As a Metrologist, James helped maintain and design critical energy and environmental control systems.
He worked with Avionics for military jets and helicopters. When he retired he was part of a research and development team with Corning Environmental Technologies.
Proud father and grandfather, he had an eager mind and was an avid learner. Hobbies often became passions and he enjoyed sharing them and his knowledge with others.
His favorites were golfing, shooting and slot car racing.
He
also enjoyed family and friends.
Quick with a smile, and a joke or a story,
he was easy to know. On July 3, 1970 he married Barbara Jean Ives. They raised one son, Brian.
James was preceded in death by his father, Charles, and his mother, Mildred. He is survived by his wife Barbara, his son Brian, four grandchildren, Charles, Olivia, Karis and Sydnee, his great grandson Theo and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A military graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 3:00 pm at the Bath National Cemetery and visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home, Thursday evening.
