James R. Stephens, Sr.

James R. Stephens Sr., age 76, of Savona, NY died Friday March 28, 2025, at home. He was born in Cameron, NY May 22, 1948, the son of Claude and Belle Stephens. Jim was an Army Vietnam Veteran of the First Calvary. He retired from the Bath VAMC in Bath, NY and was a member of the Bath VFW 1470. Jim was very proud of his farm life, raising pigs for many years. You would always find him on his tractors. Jim was very proud of his time being a cub scout master in Bradford, NY.

He is survived by his wife Sharon E. (Morseman) Stephens; sons, Colton Stephens (Jodi Morgan) and James R. Stephens Jr.; stepdaughters, Katrina (David) Mancini and Leslie (Matthew) Eddinger, 10 grandchildren; brothers, Thomas, John and Mark and sisters, Margaret and Chris and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Harry and Claude and sister Rosalie.

Family and friends are invited to Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 11:00am-12:00 pm for visitation and a funeral service at 12:00, followed by a graveside service with Military Honors in Cameron Mills, NY. A luncheon will follow at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bath, NY.
