Janneith M. Rumsey

Janneith Knowles Rumsey, age 97, of Bath, NY, died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Steuben Center For Rehabilitation and Health Care in Bath, NY.
She was born August 28, 1917 the daughter of Raymond and Sarah Eygabrout Knowles.
She was predeceased by her husband Leslie E. Rumsey in 1999, her brother and wife, Harold and Henrietta Knowles, brother William Knowles, her sisters and husbands Esther and Raymond Scanlon and Louise and Karl Nix, and her in laws Ada and William Odell, Russell and Ada Rumsey, Howard Rumsey and Kenneth and Alethea Stratton.
She is survived by her four children, Phyllis and Lawrence Adams of Bath, Leslie R. and Karen Rumsey of Bath, William D. and Betty Rumsey of Florida and Curtis Rumsey and friend Wendy of Bath; grandchildren, Phyllis Ann M. (Richard) Brown, George(Patricia) Rumsey Adams, Steven Adams and friend Wendy, Melissa A. (Dana) Swansbrough, Charles R. Rumsey, Nora R. (Jeff) Ingersoll, Kathy Rumsey, Robert Rumsey, Brian Rumsey and Jamie Rumsey; her sisters-in-law, Helen Shuffler and Doris Rumsey and many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was the Bookkeeper for the family business.
Mrs. Rumsey enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, reading and going on trips.
Her laughter, smiles and kindness will be greatly missed.
In following her wishes, there will be no calling hours. Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
