Jean L. Barnes, age 87, of Corning, NY died Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the Absolute Care-Three Rivers nursing facility.
She was born January 11, 1933 in Ithaca, NY the daughter of the late Leon and Blanche (Houghtaling) Smith.
Jean was an avid crocheter, making dolls and doll clothing as gifts for everyone.
She was a member of the Christian Life Baptist Church in Corning, NY.
Jean worked in housekeeping at St. James Hospital in Hornell, NY for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband Lynn E. Barnes on May 5, 1997.
She is survived by her family and also good friend James Keegan.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Christian Life Baptist Church.
