Avoca, NY: Jean Blusewicz, age 73, of Avoca, NY died Sunday April 13, 2025, in Noyes Memorial Hospital surrounded by loved ones. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Jean was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on August 30, 1951, to the late Paul and Frances Schneider.

Jean grew up in Linden, New Jersey and went to Linden High School. After marrying Walter, she became a homemaker for their three daughters. She has worked various nursing homes before she became the head cook at Raritan Health & Extended Care. Jean and Walter decided to buy a campground in 2004 in Bath, New York. They spent the last few decades dedicated to working on the campground before retiring to Avoca, New York.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Walter J. Blusewicz of 55 years of marriage. Also predeceased is her sister Ruth and husband Charlie Albert, brother Paul Schneider, a nephew James Buckley, sister-in-law Joan Buckley, nephew Ed Jaworski and mother-in-law Ellen Blusewicz.

She is survived by her daughters Karen and husband Troy Gabello, Lori Norton, and Jamie Boyle. Grandchildren, Justin Rupp and Courtney Freiward, Robert Compton, Joseph Compton, Andrew Norton, Alyssa Banks, Jacob Banks, Cody Banks, great grandson’s Preston Freiwald, Rylan Freiward and Evander Norton. She is also survived by her niece Christine Jaworski, brother-in-law James Buckley, nephew John Buckley, Anne Johnson, Maria Leamy and great nieces and nephews.
