John Franklin Rice
John F. Rice, age 67, of McMaster Street, Bath, NY, passed away at his home surrounded by his devoted family on Tuesday April 5th.
He was born October 12, 1948, in Bath,
the son of Eldon and Marguerite (Rice) Rice.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years.
He retired from Mercury Aircraft in 2011.
John was a member of the Charles E. Wescott American Legion Post 173 in Bath.
He enjoyed his family and friends.
His grandchildren and grand "dogs" were the focus of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Janice A. Rice (Bates), they were married 44 years, his mother Marguerite; sons, Michael John Rice (Stacey) and Matthew John Rice (Danielle), brother, Stephen E. Rice (Irene) and sister, Marjorie Cole (Alex); grandchildren, Tori Lynn Rice, Michael Matthew Rice, Taylor Jo Rice and Colby Covell, all of Bath.
Brothers-in-law, Bill Wilson and Troy Wilson (Faith), sisters-in-law, Carolyn Bates and Teresa Newtown (John) and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Eldon Rice, father and mother-in-law, William and Alberta Wilson and brother-in-law, Lynn Bates.
There will be a Celebration of John's Life at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Fagan's Funeral Home of Bath.
