Joseph J. Piacentino

Joseph John Piacentino of Hornell, NY, died Friday, Christmas Day after visiting with his family, at the age of 63. Joe was a native of Brooklyn, NY, son to Rose and John, and served in the U.S. Army after graduating high school. Joe battled cancer for over a year before his passing but always kept his good spirit and sense of humor intact. Whenever asked how he was doing, his response was "I can't complain!" Joe is survived by his children Aurora and Christopher, his granddaughter Violet, his longtime partner Kathy and her family who became his family, his ex-wife and friend Yoly, and his brother John and sisters Janet and Frances. Though Joe faced personal struggles throughout his life, his humor, compassion, and kind heartedness endeared him to so many and he will be missed. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Bath National Cemetery.
