Lee Andrew Jones, a dedicated brother, uncle and friend, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, New York, after a long battle with several chronic illnesses. To the family, Lee was lovingly known as J.J.

Lee was born on November 13, 1967, in Shelby, Mississippi. He spent a few years in New York City, Hornell, NY and Corning, NY, before calling the Bath/Wheeler NY area his permanent home.

Lee was predeceased by his mother Margaree Jones, stepfather George Richmond, and nephew Jacory Jones.

Lee leaves behind: older brother William (Linda Whitson) Jones, and younger sister Angela Jones; as well as five nephews: Roy (Meghan) Williams, Emanuel Jones, Jarelle Jones, William DaQuan Jones and Tyrek W. Jones.

Leo spent many years working on local farms, and a few years employed by Steuben Janitorial Services. Lee was a familiar face walking the streets of Bath, NY and was well known for his love of telling stories of his many life adventures. Lee also greatly enjoyed medal detecting to find treasures throughout the village of Bath, NY.

In addition, Lee leaves behind a host of other family members, extended family members, loving friends, and special neighbors throughout the community of Bath, NY. Lee's presence will surely be missed, and his memory will be treasured by those who knew him.

There will be no service. A private celebration of life might be planned at a later date.
