Leonard C. Gardner, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home, attended by his loving wife, Bonnie after a long illness. Born on September 29, 1941, in Lockport, NY and grew up in the small town of Corfu, NY, Leonard was a man of many talents and passions, whose life was a testament to hard work, perseverance, and love for his family.

The son of Leonard Gardner and Cornelia (Popp) Gardner, Leonard was raised in a family anchored by his mother who demonstrated work ethic, love, and perseverance. He graduated from Corfu High School in 1959, and his thirst for knowledge led him to study at the University of Rochester. Throughout his life, Leonard continued to expand his expertise by acquiring numerous technical certificates related to his business ventures.

Leonard's career was diverse and successful. He initially worked for the Singer Corporation and then many years with Eastman Kodak Company, where his mechanical aptitude stood out. Leonard's love for motorcycles led him to create and run the Stoney Lonesome Motocross Park in Avoca, NY. In addition the family operated a fuel wood business for many years. His love for the outdoors and machinery eventually guided him and Bonnie to establish and operate together Gardner Outdoor Power in Bath, NY.

Married to Bonnie Granville on August 17, 1963, in Rochester, NY, They enjoyed 63 years of adventures, endeavors, and building a life and family together. They raised two sons, Mark F. (Maureen) Gardner of Orangeville, NY and Leonard J. (Jackie) Gardner of Wheeler, NY who, along with their families, brought joy to Leonard's life. His legacy is carried forward by his four grandchildren, Andrew, Connor, Denver, and Claire Gardner, as well as three great-grandchildren, who were a source of great pride and happiness.

Leonard the eldest of four is survived by his siblings, Michael Gardner of Mountain Grove Mo. Paula Fraczek of Brockport NY and Daniel Gardner of Naples NY.

He had a lifelong passion for motorcycles and a love of flying kit airplanes and aviation. As a member and promoter in the American Motorcycle Association, Leonard's enthusiasm for motorsports was well known.

A private funeral ceremony was held to honor Leonard's life, reflecting the intimate and close-knit bonds he cherished with his family. The family asks that no flowers be sent.

Leonard C. Gardner's life was built on work ethic, dedication, ingenuity, and love. His memory will be forever treasured by those who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
