It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Leonard Adam Sutryk Sr, "Bumpa." He gained his angel wings peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 70 on Sunday January 10th, 2016.
Leonard was born on March 1st, 1945 to Joseph and Genevieve Sutryk. He grew up in Bradford, NY and graduated from Bradford Central School in 1962.
Leonard is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Jean Sutryk (Travis) and his wonderful children, Leonard Adam Sutryk Jr (Jennifer), Cynthia Sutryk, Jason Sutryk, Kimberly Sutryk, and Jennifer Sutryk, 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Frank (Rhoda) Sutryk from Virginia Beach and Joseph Sutryk of Bradford, and sisters Mary Ann (Edward) Machuga of Bradford and Alice (Harry) House of Bradford, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
"Bumpa" was a huge fan of his grandchildren and enjoyed nothing more than sitting on the sideline smiling, so proud. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a true outdoorsman, a handyman, jack of all trades, and a one of a kind. He will be missed by all those that knew and loved him
Friends and family may call on Thursday January 14th, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath, NY. Services will be Friday January 15th, 2016 at Fagan's Funeral Home at 10am with burial immediately following at the Bath National Cemetery with military honors.
