Lewis R. Losey

May 8, 1938 — November 2, 2020

The world lost an incredible husband, friend, father, step-father (although to Lew, there was no step - he was simply a father and grandfather), grandfather and great-grandfather on November 2, 2020.
Lewis Losey, 82 years young, passed away at his home in Urbana, New York, which he shared with the love of his life, Nellie.
Lew was a United States Navy veteran and then retired from the Veteran's Administration.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Victor and Jack,
his son, Andy Potter, and his grandson, Jesse Pruden. Lew is survived by his partner in life, Nellie Losey; his brothers, Jim Losey and Benjamin Losey;

Lew had the biggest heart and was known as Poppy Lew (a name which was first bestowed on Lew by grandson, Jesse Pruden) to his many grandchildren:
Fawn (Zachary) Heins, Nicole (John) Smith, Hilary (Jamie) Losey, Dylan (Alexandria) Losey, Ashley Losey, Stacia Carrillo, Natasha MacDonald, Elanna
(Robert) Rathburn, Gabrielle (Mitch) Derrington, Jessica (Jhonathan) Montero De Los Santos, Kelly Romano (Mark), Jamie Conway (Phillip), Derek (Megan) Pruden, Courtney Pruden, Briana (Michael) Fagner, Leah (Jason) Butler, Morgan (Steve) Rago, Joey Rago, Cheryl (Matt) Glashauser, Brian Pruden, Nathaniel Pruden, Heather Deal, Danny Wurzer, Adeline (Tom) Wurzer, Abigail (Steve) Wurzer, Clay Pruden, Kyle Pruden, Connor Hubler and
Jenna Hubler. Poppy Lew was an even more incredible great-grandfather to Braelyn Westbrook, Michael Westbrook, Bradyn Smith, Cameron Smith, Dawson Smith, Mercedes Keeney, Bentley Decker, Liberty Taft, Brandin Beschler, J'lynn Plaisted, Jacie Plaisted, Guy House, Lauren House, Zachary House, Raymond MacDonald, Ryan MacDonald, Anaise Lopez, John Jevoli, Iris Montero De Los Santos, Ian Romano, Dylan Conway, Cody Conway, Bryson Howell, Bryce Pruden, Caleb Pruden, Nick Fowler, Lily Butler, Livia Mansfield, Chloe Mansfield, Isabella DeFreze and
Alexandra Haskins. Lew will forever be remembered for his story telling, his sense of humor and, most importantly, his love for his family.
Lew is also survived by Hunter, his feline buddy, and Lolita, his "guard" dog.
