Lloyd J. Smith, age 77, of Bath, NY, passed away peacefully at his home, with his family by his side, on Monday, January 2, 2017.
He was born January 8, 1944 in Bath, NY the son of Emerson and Anna J. (Preston) Smith.
He was an US Navy Veteran.
Mr. Smith retired from Mercury Aircraft in Hammondsport, NY in 2002 and after his wife's retired they moved to North Carolina in 2004.
He was a brass collector and enjoyed woodworking, ocean fishing and always keeping himself busy.
He married his wife Dora (Hall) Smith on October 12, 1960 and she survives him, he is also survived by his children; James E. Smith, David P. Smith and Pamela (Matthew) Prescott; grandchildren, Bradley E. Smith, Tiffany A. Smith, Krystal N. Smith, Bryan J. Smith and Ashleigh N. Smith and great grandchild, Brooke N. Smith and nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his parents, Emerson and Ann Smith, sister Joanne Marquez and brothers, Garold E. and Paul E. Smith.
There will be no funeral services.
A celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his name, may be made to the American Cancer Society
and the American Heart Association.
