Lois M. Geyer

Lois M. Geyer, age 95, of Bath, NY, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY.
She was born December 16, 1920 in Bath, NY the daughter of Washington and Nina (Sitterly) Divens. She was married in Bath, NY on January 29, 1942. Lois retired from Haverling Central School in 1991after 34 years as a Cafeteria Assistant.
She was an excellent cook and you would never find a better homemade meal than at Lois's.
She attended Mass at St. Mary's Church in Bath where she was a parishioner for many years. Lois was a 33 year member of the Charles E. Wescott Post 173 American Legion Auxilliary in Bath.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, bus trips with Vesta and Helen and the annual St. Mary's Fair. She loved watching the Mets and Yankees play, and in the off season she enjoyed watching football.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Geyer of Scio, NY;
two grandchildren, Stacie Woodruff and Michael Geyer (Rachel Brown); three great grandchildren; Tyler Green, Tristen and Trace Woodruff,
beloved nieces, Ronilyn and Olivia Sunzeri and beloved friend Helen Dildine and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Geyer, daughter Lois Geyer; four sisters, Vesta Gardiner, Ethel Southard, Mabel Lewis and Thelma Robards and two brothers, Ezra Divens and Harold Divans.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday May 26, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Fagan's Funeral
Home, 31 West Morris St., Bath, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday at St. Mary's Church, Bath, NY with Father James Jaeger officiating assisted by Deacon Dave LaFortune..
Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Bath.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lois's name may be made to St. John Vianney Parish 32 East Morris St, Bath, NYand Charles E Wescott American Legion Post 173, Bath, NY 14810.
