Lorraine E. Blandino

Lorraine Blandino, 102, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Albion, New York, the daughter of Gaetano and Elizabeth Monacelli. Lorraine is predeceased by her husband, Alfred J. Blandino, and her 7 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her son, Alfred (Anne) and daughter, Rosemary Shaw (Mark). Lorraine has four grandchildren: Jaime Blandino (Ben), Lauren Baldwin (Chris), Dee Shaw Hartman (Drew), and Brian Shaw (Tara), as well as four great-grandchildren: Jack, Tyler, Ally, and CJ, and beloved nieces and nephews. Lorraine was a dedicated special education assistant in the BOCES system, touching many lives. She found her greatest joy in her role as a grandmother and great grandmother. They were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them, especially during summers filled with laughter, love, and homemade meals. Lorraine's kitchen was a place of warmth and comfort, where she delighted in preparing their favorite dishes like meatballs, blueberry muffins, and apple and cherry pies. Lorraine would light up with joy whenever her friends visited, spending hours chatting over coffee and creating cherished moments filled with laughter and heartfelt conversations. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am to celebrate Lorraine's life, on September 7, 2024 at Fagan's Funeral Home, Bath, NY. She will be interred next to her beloved husband at St. Joseph Cemetery in Albion, New York. Lorraine's presence will be deeply missed, but her love and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
