Margaret (Kish) Baird, 82, of Hammondsport passed away by family in the comfort of her own home Sunday, July 19, 2015.
She was born to Verona and Arnold Kish in Dawmont, West Virginia on May 16, 1933.
Margaret met the love of her life, Roland, and married on June 2, 1956.
Margaret and Roland had two children.
She graduated as a beautician but then transitioned into her most important role in life, as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She opened her own business later in life, running Cedar Beach Bed and Breakfast for 12 years, inviting people with the inspiring hospitality and personality that Margaret always had.
Margaret loved talking over coffee and hosting Friday night dominoes for years.
Margaret is survived by her husband Roland Baird, and two children, Linda Baird, and Cheri Baird, and well as her grandson Kyle, her sibling Arnold Kish and brother-in-law Richard Palmer, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father, sister Joann Palmer and sister-in-law Helen Kish, niece Barbara Kish and nephew Joseph Kish.
Margaret was an inspiring and unique individual who always greeted you with the kindness and consoling attitude that made you want to see her every day.
And she was always just a phone call away.
The family would like to thank The Taylor Center and CareFirst for the amazing care she had obtained.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm with a service to follow at 3:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home, 31 West Morris Street, Bath, NY.
