Marilyn L. Aper

d. November 12, 2018

November 12, 2018 Marilyn Lorena (Gerow) Draper stepped into eternity with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is now out of pain and able to walk, dance, sing and be with family who have gone on before. Don't weep for us but rejoice that Marilyn is where she has longed to be for some time.
Marilyn was predeceased by her parents Merlin and Lorena (Buck) Gerow, Her brothers Fredrick and Mack Gerow, sister, Arlene Lyon. She is survived by her sister Janet McCann, children Rocky (Patti) Draper, Rosanna (Joseph) Pulvino. Grandchildren, Veronica (Charles) Chaffee, Jeremy Draper-Bell, Joseph R. Pulvino, Debra Burdick, Danielle Hall, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Marilyn spent the last few years of her life at Steuben Centers where she was loved by staff and residence. Her ministry there was to share the love of her Lord Jesus Christ. Marilyn loved eating chocolate ice-cream, playing Bingo, Happy Hour and the wonderful music and events that were provided through the Activities department. Throughout her life Marilyn was always active in choirs singing alto. She enjoyed many years being a member of the choir at Hammondsport Presbyterian Church and Keuka Lake Singers. Music was a big part of her life growing up singing around the piano with her mother and other family members. Marilyn was a cancer survivor of 27 years. She was famous for her deliciously flakey apple pies. We are sure she will be baking them for the banquet table in Heaven.
