Matthew J. Rosno

Matthew Joseph Rosno (34) was granted his angel wings Saturday, December 22, 2018. He grew up in Bradford, NY with his loving parents, John and Sue, along with his brothers, Jason and Patrick. They travelled to little league games together, drove many times to Disney World, and enjoyed spending time outside as a family. Matthew graduated as Valedictorian from Bradford Central School in 2002. After high school he attended Elmira College where he earned a degree in Political Science and graduated Summa cum laude. Following these great achievements, he received his law degree from the University of Buffalo.
While in college, Matthew met his loving wife, Nicole Urbanski and they happily married in 2011. Shortly thereafter they were blessed two amazing children, Avery Faith (5) and son, Ryder Joseph (3). Matthew began his law career in the Buffalo area and was then given the opportunity to move back to the Southern Tier and work for the Law Offices of Barclay Damon, LLP. In Chemung County, he was Assistant District Attorney and was recently appointed as County Attorney.
In addition to being a loving father, he was a husband, son, brother, uncle, co-worker, and friend. Matthew was a happy, down to earth person with genuine compassion for all and will be missed by many.
Matthew Joseph Rosno is survived by his wife, Nicole, their daughter Avery Faith, and son, Ryder Joseph, of Horseheads; parents, John and Sue Rosno, brothers, Jason (Tricia) and Patrick (Autumn), niece Quinn and nephews Rowan and Carter of Bradford; grandmother Elsie Hauryski of Campbell; parents in law, Greg and Elizabeth Urbanski, brother in law, Mathew (Devyn) of Lancaster; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Matthew is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Marcell and Helen Rosno, and his maternal grandfather, Joseph Hauryski.
Friend and family may call on Saturday December 29th, 2018 from 11am to 1pm with mass immediately following at the Saint Stanislaus Church in Bradford, NY. In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be made to the GoFundMe account set up for his wife and children.
