Melvin Albert Ross
8/22/44-12/10/16
December 10, Melvin Albert Ross finished his race here on earth and went home to glory.
Born and raised in Colorado, the son of the late George and Lucille (Bilbrey) Ross, Melvin lived in Grand Junction until he entered the United States Air Force as an air traffic controller.
Upon discharge, Melvin spent the remainder of his years being a husband, father to three sons, grandfather to five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
He was a son, brother, uncle, cousin and good friend to many.
Melvin would want to be remembered as a born-again believer who loved God.
He composed a number of gospel/worship songs which he loved to play and sing.
He attended the Wallace Wesleyan Church and enjoyed being involved with the Men's Fellowship group there as well as meeting with his Bible Study friends at the Bethel Assembly of God in Bath.
Melvin retired from the transportation department of the Bath VA Medical Center in 2006.
He is survived by his wife Audrey Ross; three sons, Kent, Scott and Bud Ross; grandchildren, Chris (Jenny), Nick (Megan) and Jake Ross, Nathan Martin and Allison Ross and great granddaughter Haley Ross; sisters, Katherine (Glen) Roper and Linda (Richard) Collard and brother Raymond (Pam) Ross.
