Neltson F. Marvin I, age 77 of Bath, NY passed away May 16th, 2018 surrounded
by his loving family after an extended illness. Neltson was born in 1941 in Wayne,
NY to Floyd & Myrna (Foster) Marvin. He graduated Haverling High school in 1959.
In 1961 he married the love of his life Linda E Hall. In the early years he worked
for Pepsi Co. and Beechnut baby food. He taught himself thru correspondence
classes in electric, plumbing, and heating trades and started Marvin's H.E.L.P.
serving the local communities for more than 30 years. Neltson loved to ride his
bike with the little ones on a custom seat all around Bath and surrounding towns.
He belonged to the Pleasant Valley Mennonite church most of his adult life and
served in the MDS which traveled all over the east coast helping with disaster
relief including the flood of 1972. He was a steadfast supporter of the American
Red Cross giving blood every opportunity donating 6 plus gallons over his lifetime.
Neltson is predeceased by his parents Floyd & Myrna Marvin, his sister Margaret,
and brother Robert.
He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 57 years Linda, five
Sons/spouses: Neltson (Gayl) of OH; Chuck (Ann)of NC; Brian (Jeanine) of Bath,
NY; Nathan (Nick) of OH; and Michael (Sue) of VA. Daughters/spouses: Laurie
(Thurlow) Prescott of KS; Susan Prescott (Rafael Ortiz) of Bath, NY. He is survived
by 5 siblings , their spouses as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 22
grandchildren and several great - grandchildren who he loved dearly. As well as
Diane Hunter who, like many, called him Dad.
Calling hours will be held at Fagan's funeral home of Bath, NY on Monday, May
21 st from 4 - 6 pm followed by a memorial service 6 - 7 pm.
