Patricia Jane Simons

Jane P. Simons, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, age 75, of Bath, NY, formerly of Lake City, FL, passed away on March 1, 2012 surrounded by her family. Jane was born July 21, 1936 in Bath, NY, daughter of the late Harlowe and Dolores Stryker. Jane married Victor Simons on August 13, 1955, whom she met while waitressing at Molly's Diner. After marrying the love of her life, Jane helped her husband in various business endeavors including Simons' Burial Vault Company, Simons' Family Restaurant, and Simons & Son's Excavating. Jane had many interests - she loved to sew, happily challenged herself with picture puzzles and crosswords, enjoyed watching various types of birds at her bird feeders, was a lover of all animals, carefully tended to her flower gardens, and became an avid porcelain doll collector. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Surviving Jane are, her children: Michael (Flossie) Stryker, Victor Simons, Jody (Lanny) Partridge, Joel (Randy Bennett) Brazie, William (Patricia) Simons, Thomas (Elizabeth) Simons, Julie (Phillip) Durham, Marti (Trudy) Simons, Jaymee (Richard) Rowland, and Jeramee (David) Walden. Grandchildren: David Stryker; Kasey, Kandi, Kory, and Keri Partridge; Lauren and Kaileigh Brazie; Courtney Fusco, Denise Brownlee, William, Joshua, and Nicholas Simons; Tara and Zachary Simons; Justin, Alex, and McKenzie Durham; Nakita Simons; Andrew, Ethan, and Mikaela Rowland; Michael, Dakota, and Seth Walden. Great-Grandchildren: Tyler and Blake Leasure, Kegyn Mattison; Krianne and Karlissa Hadley; Coby and Kayla Brownlee; Kyle Partridge. Brothers: Frederick, David, Douglas, and Harlowe Stryker. Sisters: Deanna Chapman, Arlene Gillette, and Sallie Smith. Special Friends: Brenda and Wes Smith. Jane was predeceased by her sisters: Rena Mae Wood, Doris Stryker, Ann Combs, and Virginia Crane.
Friends and family are invited to call at Fagan's Funeral Home on Monday, March 5, 2012, from 6-8pm and Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 11am-12pm. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 12pm at Fagan's with Pastor Donald Lester officiating. Committal services will follow at Nondaga Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Lung Association, Finger Lakes SPCA, or a charity of one's choice.
