Pauline (Polly) Spencer Brewer, 97, went to be with her Lord on February 17th, 2012 at the Williamsport Home in Williamsport, PA. She formerly lived in Cameron and Bath, NY. Pauline was born in Elmira, NY on June 25th, 1914, the daughter of Lloyd and Alice Longwell Spencer. She was a homemaker and beloved wife of her late husband, Ray O. Brewer, and mother to six children.
Surviving are two sons, James of Bath and Duane of Las Vegas, NV, and four daughters: Janet Breauchy of Muncy, PA; Mary Tyler of Richmond, VA; Caroline Shaffer of Dallastown, PA; and Elsie Koch of Williamsport, PA. She also had 32 grandchildren, over 60 great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
Polly will be remembered for her collection of hand-dressed baby dolls and many crafts; she is known to have made several quilts, crocheted many doilies, and baked many, many dozens of cookies.
Visitation will be on Friday February 24th from 1:00-2:00 pm followed by funeral and committal services at 2:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath with Reverend Gregory Ferguson officiating.
Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee, NY.
