Bath, NY - Rena Lee Eaton, a beloved resident of Bath, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 62. Born on Saturday, September 1st, 1962, in Montour Falls, NY the daughter of Leon and Tillie Hadley, Rena was a cherished member of her community and a beacon of joy to all who knew her.
Rena was the devoted wife of Joe Eaton, whose unwavering support and love were her pillars throughout their marriage. She was the proud mother of two sons Chris (Jolyn) Eaton and Todd (Megan) Eaton who brought immense joy to her life, and she adored her grandson, Emmett who was the apple of her eye and her great neice Onna that was her shadow. Rena's loving nature also extended to her many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, with whom she shared countless memorable moments.
Rena had a fulfilling career as a direct support worker at AIM Independent Living in Beaver Dams, NY and at K-Mart in Bath for several years before they closed their doors. Her passion for helping others shone through in her work, and she was known for her kindness, compassion, and dedication to those she served.
A woman of varied interests, Rena had an eye for interior design and frequently transformed her home into a haven of beauty and comfort. She was an avid reader and treasured her ever-growing collection of Care Bears and unique shoe collectibles. Rena found solace sitting on her front porch, where she enjoyed meeting new people and was always ready to lend a hand to those in need.
Rena was preceded in death by her siblings Frank Hadley, William Hadley & Connie Graham, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be cherished by her family and friends. Her radiant spirit and generous heart touched the lives of many and her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
As per Renas wishes there will not be a funeral but rather a celebration of life when warmer weather comes. Family will reach out to all when they have a date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that acts of kindness be performed in Rena's honor, as a tribute to her life of giving and compassion.
