Richard J. Martin, age 76, of Bath, NY died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center of Elmira, NY.
He was born in Marquette, MI on October 11, 1939, the son of Joseph and Ellen (Cameron) Martin.
Richard worked for Steuben County and New York State in Electrical Maintenance.
He was an Air Force Veteran.
Richard enjoyed fishing and hunting and he was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church of Bath.
He is survived by his wife, Jo-Anne (Gardiner) Martin of Bath, three daughters, Nancy (Gary) Scott of Alaska, Anna (Jerry) Martin-Miller of Howard, NY and Ruth Martin of Sarasota, FL; three sons, Steven (Carla) Martin of Bath, David (Cindy) Martin of Hornell and Richard (Holly) Martin of Ellicott City, MD. 22 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; three sisters, Sharyn Miller, Pamela Runyon and Susie Kissiah, his brother Marvin Savola and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his
mother Ellen Savola and son Daniel Martin.
Funeral services will be held today, November 11th at 11:00 am at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath with Reverend Alan Lindmark officiating.
Burial will follow
in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to the Harvest Baptist Church, 7568 Route 54, Bath, NY 14810.
