Richard G. Pruner

Richard G. Pruner, age 79, of Bath, NY died Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Steuben Center in Bath, NY.
He was born October 3, 1936 in Dansville, NY the son of John and Flossie (Steffey) Pruner.
Mr. Pruner was a Teacher at the Bath Central School for 33 years retiring in 1992.
He coached the Haverling Football Team for many years and also coached Girls Softball and Basketball.
Mr. Pruner was the Past President of the Cinderella Softball League and was also very active with the Bath Little League. He volunteered at the Bath VAMC and he was a member of the Bath B.P.O.E. 1547 and the Knights of Columbus Council 5147 in Bath.
He was a Past Grand Knight and instrumental in starting the Care and Share Program and the Toy Drive with the Knights of Columbus.
He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church of Bath and a member of the Resurrection Assembly.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Donna(Smith) Pruner
of Bath; three daughters, Cheryl (Randy) Crocker of Bath, NY, Janet (Eric) Jacobson of Corning, NY and Rhonda Pruner (Brian Scott) of Savona, NY;
three grandchildren, Rachel (Michael) O'Connor, Emily Crocker and Nathan Jacobson; great granddaughter Allison O'Connor and step great granddaughter Lexie O'Connor and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Doris Miller and his aunts Margaret and Helen Pruner.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday May 5th from 4:00-7:00 PM at Fagan's Funeral
Home in Bath.
There will be an Elks Service at 6:45 pm.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday May 6th at St. Mary's Church in Bath with Reverend James Jaeger officiating assisted by Deacon Bob Colomaio.
A graveside service will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Bath.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Mary's Church, 32 E. Morris St, Bath, NY 14810 and Knights of Columbus Council 5147 Care & Share Program, PO Box 745, Bath, NY 14810.
