Richard D. Turner

July 29, 1939 — July 29, 2013

Richard served in the US Navy. Following his Navy discharge, Richard was employed by the Bath and Hammondsport Railroad until he became disabled. Richard enjoyed serving as a volunteer firefighter and was a long time Yankees fan. He was a resident of Three Rivers Nursing Home for many years.



Richard was predeceased by his foster parents, Otto and Ernistine Sick, his foster sister, Marjorie Manktelow of Bath, NY and his foster brother, Robert Sick of Cohocton, NY.



Richard is survived by his wife, Joyce Turner, his son, Richard W. Turner, his daughters, Maria Turner, Elizabeth Brewer, and Nancy Saxton, grandchildren, his foster brother, Victor Sick of Cohocton, NY. and his long time caregivers at Three Rivers Nursing Home.



Calling hours will be Monday, August, 5th from Noon to 1PM, at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath, NY. with a Funeral Service following calling hours at 1PM. Burial will be at The Bath National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Richard Turner's name to the Three Rivers Nursing Home, 101 Creekside Drive, Painted Post, NY 14870. On line condolences may be left at fagansfuneralhome.com
