Richard Yarka, 71, of Bath, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on 11/19/24 surrounded by hisfamily. Born on July 11, 1953, in Bath, NY, Richard was the beloved son of Chester Yarka and Beverly(Yarka) Ashcraft. Richard's life was defined by his unwavering love for family, his strong work ethic, and his ability to bringjoy and comfort to everyone around him. He valued nothing more than the bonds he shared with hisloved ones and the countless memories he created with them. He is survived by his loving siblings JoAnn Yarka, Mark (Lynette) Yarka, Stephen (Missy) Ashcraft andBrandy (Brett) Kuehnle. His daughters, Anita Clinton-Perez, Corinna (Jeff) Hercyk, and Lisa Betty. Hischerished grandchildren, Veronica (Brady) Hill, Megan Seifert (Caleb Logue), Chelsea (Brandon)Mattingly, Nicole Moose, Jolynn (Ora) Bice, Olivia Clinton (Erik Miller), Jacquelyn Seeley (Justin Jurek),Curtis Betty and Oliver Perez. He also leaves behind multiple great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, andextended family members who loved him deeply.Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa Yarka, his parents, Chester Yarka and Beverly(Yarka) Ashcraft, his brothers, Christopher and David Yarka, his daughter, Lucina Mae Pygott, hisgrandson, Issac Moose and granddaughter Vivianna Perez.Richard's life was filled with quiet acts of love and service, from building a cabin alongside his siblings tospending countless hours tinkering on projects with his nephew David Pete, whom he loved as his ownson. He shared his wisdom, humor, and values with his family, leaving an enduring legacy of kindness,compassion, and resilience.Richard will forever be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Hislove, laughter, and guidance will be deeply missed but never forgotten.A private family service will be held to celebrate his life and honor him at a later date.
