He served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany from 1971 to 1974. He was a lifelong dedicated Yankee Fan and also an avid bowler during the years while his father was co-owner of Steuben Bowl. He loved Nature, and enjoyed the outdoors. He was last employed at the VA Center in the food service. He was residing at Lake View in Bath, where he was so known for preparing meals for those without family on holidays.
Son of the late William F. Yerger, he is survived by his mother, Margaret M. Yerger, brother (late) William J. Yerger, sister Jo-Ann Blowers and brother in law Carl J. Blowers of South Carolina, sister Catherine Remchuck and brother in law David Remchuck of Bath, N.Y. and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
