Robert James Cartwright, age 80, of Bath, NY died Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. He was born May 27, 1943 in Bath, the son of Francis Charles and Anna (Urban) Cartwright. Mr. Cartwright retired from the Bath VAMC. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Lou (Mattoon) Cartwright of Bath; sons, Robert C. Cartwright of Lindley, NY, James M. Cartwright of Bath, NY and Nathan R. (Jessica) Cartwright of Pensecola, FL.; grandchildren, Madison, MacKenzie and Austin Cartwright and Dereka Wilson, his brother William Cartwright and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, son Taw A. Wilson and sister Beverly Palmer.
Calling hours and a memorial service will be held in the spring of 2024 at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath on a date and time to be announced.
